Looking for ways to pull yourself out of the dull, monotonous feeling of living in screen-obsessed, capitalist hellscape? Turns out dramatic weather and visceral paintings are two things we can engage with to feel more alive- who doesn’t want more of that?!

Painting and meteorology have more in common than you might think, and we cover it all in this playful conversation between host Kristen Orr, painter Kate Fleming, and meteorologist Ryan Miller. We brainstorm collaborations and discuss things like how the weather can make paintings, how plein air artists are attuned to the movements of the sun, and how air bubbles from the past can be trapped in paint and ice. In the end, we submit a handful of our favorite project ideas to an impartial judge who selects the "winning" collaboration idea.

No matter what field you work in, you'll find value in thinking creatively alongside these unlikely collaborators.
